ABOUT LEGACY MOTOR CLUB (LEGACY MC): We are a premier auto racing organization co-founded by entrepreneur Maury Gallagher and seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, 2024 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, Jimmie Johnson. The CLUB competes under the Toyota Gazoo Racing banner in the NASCAR Cup Series with the No. 43 Toyota Camry XSE piloted by Erik Jones and No. 42 Toyota Camry XSE driven by John Hunter Nemechek. Jimmie Johnson also races on a limited basis in the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Revenue Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of world-class sponsors and strategic partnerships for all LEGACY MC programs and operations, inclduing the NASCAR Cup Series and other assets. The role involves initiating opportunities, leading the development process, negotiating, and closing single-year and multi-year sponsorship agreements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in partnership sales, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:


Sponsorship Acquisition: Identify, initiate, and secure sponsorship opportunities that align with LEGACY MOTOR CLUB's objectives, managing the entire sales cycle process from prospecting to contract execution.


Innovative Platform Development: Create and propose unique sponsorship platforms that deliver value beyond traditional branding, enhancing partner engagement and return on investment.


Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to finalize sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with company policies.


Market Analysis: Anticipate market trends in sports and entertainment sponsorships, maintaining competitive analyses to identify and size appropriate opportunities for the company.


Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective sponsors, understanding their business strategies to enhance partnerships and ensure long-term collaboration.


Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with company leadership and various departments to coordinate the development and execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.


Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement effective sponsorship strategies that drive revenue growth and brand alignment.


Negotiation Expertise: Proven skills in negotiating complex, high-value sponsorship deals with multiple elements, including media, marketing, and on-site activation.


Industry Insight: Deep understanding of the sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape, with the ability to anticipate and leverage market trends.


Innovative Thinking: Creative approach to developing unique sponsorship platforms that provide value beyond traditional methods.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience: 7–10 years of successful partnership sales experience, including a track record of developing, managing, and closing six to eight-figure multi-year sponsorship deals within the sports, entertainment, or related industries.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of digital and media assets, with proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to travel as necessary for events and meetings.

  • POSITION IS BASED IN STATESVILLE, NC
