About Arkansas Edge: Arkansas Edge is the NIL collective that strives to support all 465-plus student-athletes at the University of Arkansas by facilitating a centralized, constant stream of NIL opportunities, which allow student-athletes to engage with charitable causes and participate in business engagements, building their brands while making a positive impact. The collective connects fans, alumni, businesses, and charities with student-athletes while enabling Razorback student-athletes to grow their brands and earn compensation in compliance with NCAA guidelines and state laws. Fans, supporters, and businesses can contribute to providing these NIL opportunities for Razorback student-athletes which help keep Razorback sports programs competitive through fan club memberships, tax-deductible donations, and corporate partnerships and sponsorships.

 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:


Fundraising – The Director of Development will assist the Executive Director with defining development strategy and be the primary owner of developing, implementing, and executing donor research and relationship-building methods and solicitation and stewardship programs for the Collective’s individual, foundation, and corporate donor program. This will include planning and making gift asks; creating solicitation and presentation materials; providing education on NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) fundraising policies and regulations and insights on the impact previous funding has made; tracking the progress of stewardship and solicitation activities; and providing strategic summaries for key donors as well as collective and Blueprint Sports leadership.

 

Account Management – This role will provide top level customer service to donors, businesses, and individuals who support Arkansas Edge student-athletes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics, traits, and experience:

·  Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university, University of Arkansas alumni and/or former student-athlete preferred but not required

·  At least three (3) years of experience in college athletics, university or foundation stewardship, and fundraising with a focus on major gifts (>$10,000) and multi-year pledges within the state of Arkansas preferred but not required

·  Demonstrated understanding of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) as it relates to the collegiate athletics space preferred but not required

·  Proven track record of quickly developing and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders

·  Strong sales and communications skills with the fearless ability to follow up, influence, and close asks quickly

·  Possess a conscientious attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

·  Demonstrate a high level of integrity and honesty and has a reputation as a person who always does the right/fair thing

·  Be proactive and self-motivated by a will to achieve results and win

·  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-level results

·  Ability to work nights/weekends/sporting events and travel (<10%) as needed

·  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite(s)

·  Role is located in or near Fayetteville, AR
